We are seeking a Procurement Executive who will be responsible for securing the necessary materials, equipment, and services for construction projects, ensuring they are cost-effective, timely, and meet project requirements. Key responsibilities include:
- Procurement Planning:
- Work closely with project teams to identify procurement needs based on schedules and budgets.
- Plan and forecast procurement requirements for upcoming and ongoing projects.
- Source and pre-qualify reliable vendors and subcontractors.
- Maintain and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality and timely delivery.
- Quotation & Negotiation:
- Request, evaluate, and compare quotations from multiple vendors.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules for cost savings and favorable terms.
- Purchase Order Management:
- Issue purchase orders (PO) following internal approval workflows.
- Track and monitor PO status and coordinate delivery logistics.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure all procured materials and services meet technical specifications and quality standards.
- Adhere to legal, regulatory, and safety standards in procurement processes.
- Inventory & Delivery Coordination:
- Coordinate material deliveries to construction sites, minimizing delays.
- Work with logistics and warehouse teams for proper storage and stock management.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including contracts, supplier correspondence, and PO documentation.
- Generate regular reports on procurement activities, savings, and supplier performance.
To succeed in this role, candidates should have:
- At least a Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related fields.
- Minimum 3-4 years of relevant procurement experience, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong understanding of construction materials, technical specifications, and supply chain practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement systems.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Experience in sourcing for mechanical, electrical, civil, and infrastructure works.
