A leading company in the aviation sector is seeking a Chief of Airworthiness to oversee compliance with airworthiness standards and manage CAMO software development. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in aviation, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of maintenance regulations. This role involves liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring that all maintenance tasks are properly planned and executed.

Ensuring through the workforce under his/her control, that the quality of workmanship in the final product is accomplished to the highest standards of airworthiness, a standard acceptable to our client and the relevant Authorities.
Ensuring all regulatory responsibilities are being followed as per the EASA, CAAM, and DGTA requirements.
Responsible for the development of new CAMO software, including uploading the approval of Aircraft Approved Maintenance Programme (OMP), and ensuring scheduled maintenance is timely planned and monitored in accordance with the approved maintenance programme.
Ensure CAMO software can plan all maintenance tasks, considering constraints of the approved maintenance program, including component replacement, airworthiness and operational directives, service bulletins (SB), deferred defects, modifications, and repairs.
Account for the application of Airworthiness Directive (AD), Service Bulletin (SB), and Advance Service Bulletin (ASB) in the CAMO software.
Ensure the system can trigger mandatory documents such as ADs and SBs within the compliance period.
Ensure the software can maintain and control aircraft records and technical documents/data.
Ensure the software can monitor and implement timely corrective actions from quality assurance audits.
The software should coordinate the deferral and rescheduling of maintenance tasks within the approved time limits (Minimum Equipment List).
Perform any tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
Chief of Airworthiness in DOA:
Liaise with and submit to CAAM/DGTA for DOA approval.
Follow duties as prescribed in the CAAM/DGTA approved Design Office Handbook.
Act as the primary interface with the CAAM/DGTA DOA Team Leader and advise on all airworthiness matters.
Serve as a deputy to the Head of Design.
Draft Design Change Compliance Documents as required.
Produce System Safety and Environmental Control System design/analysis reports as needed.
Participate in or organize pre-design change aircraft surveys.
Support commercial proposals.
Review and approve electrical engineering drawings and accomplishment instructions.
Coordinate with avionic/electrical and mechanical/structural engineering staff for project integration.
Assist in project management to meet schedules and budgets, providing updates and reports.
Liaise with Compliance Verification Engineers as per DOA terms and procedures.
Perform any tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 5 years in Airworthiness and CAMO within aviation or MRO industry.
Familiar with CAMO and maintenance planning software (e.g., AMOS, TRAX, OASES).
Deep understanding of aircraft systems, maintenance, and regulations.
Knowledge of airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and maintenance programs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of Part 21, Part M & Part 145, and EASA regulations.
Extensive technical background in CAMO domain.
Leadership and project management skills.
Proven track record in project development and delivery.
Experience with project budgets and management tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Meticulous, proactive, and capable of leading teams and vendors.
Ability to work independently with high integrity and confidentiality.
