Residential Server Maintenance Engineer - Based in Johor (Training in Penang)

NationGate, headquartered in Penang, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Residential Server Maintenance Engineer to be based on-site in Johor. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the expert after-sales maintenance of our server infrastructure within an Internet Data Center (IDC) environment. This position requires a proactive individual capable of efficient hardware replacements, seamless firmware upgrades, and thorough troubleshooting to maintain optimal system performance. Initial training will be conducted at our headquarters in Penang.

Job responsibilities:

1. Deliver expert after-sales maintenance on complete server units, including efficient hardware replacements, seamless firmware upgrades, and thorough troubleshooting to pinpoint and resolve issues.
2. Maintain accurate work order records, providing clear and comprehensive daily maintenance reports.
3. Uphold the highest standards of diligence and strictly adhere to all company policies and critical protocols within the IDC.
4. Contribute to the team by completing other assigned tasks effectively.

Qualification & Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electronic Engineering, or related.
• Malaysian citizen with strong English and Mandarin communication skills (written and spoken) highly preferred to effectively engage with our Eastern and Western clientele.
• 1+ year server/data center hardware maintenance experience (Supermicro, Dell, Inspur, HP). Network fundamentals knowledge (TCP/IP, switches) a plus.
• Proficient with server diagnostic tools and independent hardware replacement.
• Basic Linux command knowledge.
• Flexible with IDC environment, shifts, and overtime for emergencies.
• Strong responsibility, communication, and teamwork.
• Valid Malaysian driving license.
• This position is based in Johor.
• Our company headquarters are in Penang.
• Willingness to undergo required training in Penang.
