Job Description
  • The primary responsibility of the Laboratory Technician is to provide analytical support to external and internal customers, including maintaining conformance to analytical procedures, testing, instrument maintenance, and documentation.
  • The technician will perform daily testing, laboratory support functions, and assist relevant personnel with special projects as needed and assigned.
  • Maintain a high level of quality control and assurance for all analyses carried out in the laboratory.
  • Perform offshore/onshore related activities.
  • Ensure data reliability through adherence to quality assurance protocols.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to laboratory personnel.
  • Investigate quality incidents related to the laboratory.
  • Be responsible and accountable for all laboratory activities under direction, maintaining compliance with ISO 9001, 17025, internal SOPs, and client requirements related to analysis and data generation.
  • Plan maintenance and calibration schedules for instrumentation.
  • Ensure compliance with all company programs, contributing to customer service, laboratory operations, QA/QC, HSE, environmental, and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
  • Certificate or Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering from a recognized university/college.
  • 2 to 3 years or more of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, where applicable.
  • Experience in laboratory applications.
