A leading company in Malaysia is seeking a qualified Assistant Accounts Manager to oversee financial processes, ensure compliance with regulations, and manage reporting systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting skills and leadership experience, particularly in the construction or retail sectors. Proficiency in Mandarin is required, and candidates should be adaptable and detail-oriented.
To lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met.
Manage the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly P&L, balance sheet, quarterly, bi-annual reports.
Oversee the general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews, preparing variance analysis and highlighting key drivers of results.
Manage cash flow.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, IFRS) and other regulatory requirements.
Identify and implement improvements to financial reporting systems and processes.
Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and other professionals to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.
Perform any ad hoc tasks assigned as required and support other related duties.
