Job description

To lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring deadlines are met.

Manage the preparation of timely and accurate financial reports, including monthly P&L, balance sheet, quarterly, bi-annual reports.

Oversee the general ledger accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations and company policies.

Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Lead monthly and quarterly financial reviews, preparing variance analysis and highlighting key drivers of results.

Manage cash flow.

Ensure adherence to accounting standards (e.g., MFRS, IFRS) and other regulatory requirements.

Identify and implement improvements to financial reporting systems and processes.

Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretary, and other professionals to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements.

Perform any ad hoc tasks assigned as required and support other related duties.

Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Accounting or its equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of relevant working experience in finance and accounting within the construction or retail industry, with 2 years of leadership experience.
  • Strong technical accounting and costing skills with high attention to detail.
  • High adaptability and flexibility.
  • Knowledge in liaising with Big 4 auditors is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, writing).
  • Own transportation is required.
