- Manage and develop working plans for premix plant operations and maintenance
- Work with technical and sales managers on stockpile management.
- Management and ownership of health, safety and environment processes and culture within plants to achieve zero lost time and injuries rates in consultation with HSE manager.
- Work with technical manager on plant mix designs and raw material quality to achieve consistent production of high-quality product of high economic value.
- Ensure asphalt plants comply with all relevant statutory and company requirements.
- Budget, forecast, target and capital expenditure preparation and accountability for a profitable operation in the area.
- People management accountability for Plant staff through continuous training and development, performance appraisals and the setting of clear targets and standards.
- Assist to ensure all crushing plant resources are employed efficiently and with compliance to the minimum safety standards.
- Assist to manage day to day quarry operations and provide managerial support to reporting supervisors.
- Assist to ensure that the quarry complies with all relevant statutory and company requirements.
- Ensure compliance requirements are met through organizational and procedural measures including implementation of Group guidelines, performing trainings, monitoring compliance etc.
- Proactively manage health & safety of employees to continuously improve the company's health & safety performance.
- Management and ownership of health, safety and environment policy and site HSE objectives.
- Management and ownership of processes and culture within operation by identifying workplace hazards, minimizing identified HSE risk with adequately control of the hazards to achieve zero harm with continual improvement in consultation with HSE Department.
- In addition to these functions employees are required to carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required.
