This role requires leading and managing the Operations & Documentation department, ensuring end-to-end planning and management of the supply chain from post-freight fixtures to cargo arrival at group units, specifically for vegetable oil shipments, particularly Palm Oil products.

You will also oversee the department for third-party sales, coordinating with buyers, suppliers, and the chartering team, including checking Letters of Credit (LOC) and other payment methods.

The role involves ensuring that deliverables are executed according to standard SOPs, emphasizing accuracy, timeliness, and proactive communication.

Continuous training of the team is essential to meet department objectives.

Stay updated on regulatory changes related to ports, customs, insurance, shipping, tariffs, banking, sustainability, and other areas impacting operations.

Coordinate between chartering, trading, unit operations, and finance teams for seamless supply chain management.

Develop and implement new methods, best practices, controls, and monitoring solutions to support the group's business growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related fields.
  • 10-15 years of hands-on experience in logistics, post-shipment activities, or shipment documentation in the vegetable oil industry, preferably Palm Oil.
  • Knowledge of vegetable oil/palm oil trade and contract terms (e.g., PORAM, MEOMA, FOSFA, NIOP).
  • Exposure to marine insurance coverage and claims.
