Facilities Section Head (EMS) – Johor Bahru – Up to RM12k + Leadership Role

A multinational electronics manufacturing group with global operations across Malaysia, Switzerland, the UK, Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic is seeking a Facilities Section Head to lead operations, compliance, and infrastructure improvements at its flagship plant in Johor Bahru.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and enforce facilities policies to support smooth daily operations
  2. Oversee all building, equipment, and ground maintenance across the plant
  3. Manage departmental budgets, vendors, and contracts
  4. Conduct inspections, safety audits, and compliance reviews
  5. Drive preventive maintenance and energy-saving initiatives
  6. Mentor the facilities team and build technical capabilities
  7. Coordinate with production, QA, and engineering to support facility needs
  8. Track KPIs and prepare regular reports for senior management

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, or equivalent
  2. 5+ years in facilities operations, with 2+ years in leadership
  3. Strong understanding of building systems, safety codes, and preventive maintenance
  4. Budget management and cost control experience
  5. Able to lead audits, vendor negotiations, and internal coordination
  6. Proficient in Microsoft Office and facilities management software
