We are seeking a driven and skilled Postdoctoral Researcher to contribute to the development of a Bahasa Melayu Large Language Model (LLM) for national-level applications in government, education, and digital services.

Key Responsibilities

• Fine-tune/train transformer-based models (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5) in Bahasa Melayu

• Curate, clean, and annotate Bahasa Melayu corpora

• Evaluate model performance and contribute to academic publications

• Collaborate with AI teams, linguists, and policy stakeholders

Requirements

• Ph.D. in AI, NLP, Computer Science, or related field

• Experience with machine learning libraries (Hugging Face, PyTorch, TensorFlow)

• Fluent in Bahasa Melayu (written and spoken)

• Strong research track record and interest in low-resource language technologies
