POSITION SUMMARY:
Inventory Analyst works diligently with the business to support worldwide Inventory control, as well as providing analysis on safety inventory levels. Sr. Inventory Analyst also collaborates closely with planning, supply chain, and business teams to determine proper safety inventory levels and other necessary actions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and maintain safety inventory levels, ensuring safety stock is updated and accurate based on forecast updates.
- Coordinate with planners and supply chain teams to set up safety inventory and analyze stock usage.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to address inventory and operational process questions from all departments.
- Prepare inventory reports by collecting and analyzing relevant information.
- Ensure the integrity and accuracy of the stock management system.
- Provide technical support and communicate with Operations.
- Coordinate with the IT department to address technical concerns.
- Support warehouse cycle counts, reconciliation reports, and system adjustments.
- Manage inventory at multiple external locations in line with operational requirements.
- Support SAP maintenance, specifically the ODM master material module.
- Assist in training new personnel.
- Adhere to organizational policies on quality management, health and safety, code of conduct, legal requirements, environmental policies, and 5S principles.
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information related to production, business, and technology.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Location: Penang Science Park, Simpang Ampat Penang.
- Operate in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Work in a standard office environment using general office equipment.
- Interface with internal customers across all functions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP; basic SAP knowledge required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
EXPERIENCE:
- At least three (3) years of experience in data entry and inventory or materials control.
- Experience with cycle count reconciliation.
- Familiarity with SAP material master data.
- Supply chain or material planning experience with an understanding of MRP logic is preferred.
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Inventory/Material Management, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications such as APICS CPIM or CIRM are preferred.
