AVP, Product Owner (Credit Cards Domain)

• The role will be responsible for handling the Project Delivery for the Cards and Payment domain.

• Will be responsible for developing project plans, defining project scope, tracking and monitoring projects from inception to closure, and must adhere to group standards and controls for successful delivery. Ability to identify and manage risks, including developing contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.

• Knowledge of card issuing and transaction acquiring processing and standards.

• Knowledge of ISO8583 messaging standard protocols.

• Will be responsible for developing solutions, stakeholder management, vendor and financial management, developing project costs, and delivering the developed solutions.

• Hands-on experience with VISA, MasterCard, UPI, and other national card schemes issuing & acquiring, scheme compliance requirements.

• Desirable to have knowledge of national schemes and processor integrations.

• Knowledge about APIs (SOAP, JSON, REST, etc.) and Web Service Integration.

• Knowledge about Back Office integration.

• Knowledge about HSM protocols and configuration, encryption keys/cryptography (symmetric and asymmetric keys, 3DES, AES, SM4, SHA).

• Familiarity with EMV technologies and standards, PCI DSS, and PA DSS standards.

• Familiarity with contact and contactless technologies, 3DS, and Tokenization standards.

• Experience with EFT transaction switching or online banking environments.

• Hands-on experience with automated test tools and simulators.

• Knowledge of end-to-end systems development life cycles (waterfall, Agile, and other modern approaches).

• Knowledge of Card Issuance/Management, Digital Channels interface, Encryption, HSM, and ISO8583 messaging standards.

• More than 10 years of experience in the Cards Domain, with understanding of Mainframe frameworks.

• Strong design and programming knowledge in CICS, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, MVS.

• Familiarity with EMV Contact/Contactless, VISA, and MasterCard Card Issuing & Acquiring, Scheme compliance requirements.

• Familiarity with PCI DSS and PA DSS compliance requirements.

• Experience on switch integration with VISA/Mastercard is mandatory, others like UPI, JCB, and national switches are a plus.

• Experience with Google Pay, Samsung Pay, Apple Pay Wallets, QR codes, and emerging payments is advantageous.

• Experience in Web Service integration and APIs.

• Ability to prepare solution architecture documents, functional, and technical specifications.

• Excellent problem-solving, team, and time management skills.

• Willingness to share relevant technical and industry knowledge.

• Experience in banking or financial services industry.

• Working experience in Cloud and Digital transformation projects is a plus.

• Good knowledge of open banking is a plus.

• Ability to review requirements, impact analysis, gap analysis, high-level design, cost estimation, propose timelines, obtain project approval, and draft solution architecture and technical specifications.

• Leadership qualities and subject matter expertise in both technical and functional areas.

• Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills across organizational levels.

• Strong influencing, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.

Qualifications
  • B TECH, BE, or MBA in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT field; 8 to 12 years of experience.
