Fertility Nurse / ART Clinical Nurse – Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Clinical Support

1. Provide compassionate and professional support to patients throughout their infertility journey.
2. Obtain detailed medical histories, review relevant medical records, and perform physical examinations where appropriate.
3. Collaborate closely with physicians to develop and implement personalized fertility treatment plans.
4. Prepare and monitor patients undergoing In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF) and other ART cycles.
5. Assist in all ART procedures including:

• Oocyte Pick Up (OPU)
• Embryo Transfer (ET)
• Surgical Sperm Extraction (e.g., MESA, TESA)

Offer patient education and counseling throughout the fertility process to ensure understanding and compliance.

Act as a liaison between patients, clinical staff, and supervising physicians to ensure quality and coordinated care.

Medication & Inventory Management

1. Dispense medications and medical products based on doctor’s prescriptions, ensuring proper patient understanding.
2. Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and organization of the medication area.
3. Monitor medication and consumables stock levels and inform the person in charge (PIC) when replenishment is needed.
4. Participate in weekly stock takes and inventory checks.

Training & Quality Assurance

1. Mentor and guide new trainees and junior staff to ensure consistent care standards.
2. Maintain high standards of ethical and safe clinical practices.
3. Ensure all clinical documentation is complete, accurate, and confidential.
4. Continuously stay updated on advancements in reproductive medicine and ART procedures.
5. Organize, file, and secure health information in compliance with confidentiality standards.
6. Maintain a strong patient feedback mechanism and strive for continuous service improvement.
7. Participate and contribute to marketing and expansion initiatives of the center as required.
8. Lead or assist in special projects or assignments as directed by the Nursing Director or Lead Nurse.
9. Provide support to fellow colleagues and perform additional duties as necessary for smooth clinical operations.
