Job Summary

The Supervisor, Facilities is responsible for all facilities within Malaysia. The incumbent oversees the day-to-day operations of the facilities and equipment to ensure smooth business operations whenever required.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/QSR facilities-related requirements.
  • Manage equipment performance and control downtime.
  • Ensure adherence to local Safety, Health, and Environmental regulations.
  • Comply with hazardous material handling requirements.
  • Coordinate facility and equipment maintenance activities.
  • Maintain a preventive maintenance program to meet scheduled requirements according to quality systems.
  • Oversee repair routines and maintain records of repairs.
  • Coordinate necessary repairs to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment.
  • Supervise facility security, fire, life safety systems, and disaster recovery plans.
  • Manage facilities-related biohazard programs and disposal procedures.
  • Monitor and collaborate internally to resolve HSE issues.
  • Serve as backup support for incident reporting.
  • Perform engineering reviews and approve facility modifications related to air and wastewater systems.
  • Develop tools, workflows, and systems to accurately compile compliance records.
  • Maintain and improve health and safety systems and conduct personal training as required by authorities.
Minimum Qualifications
  • At least five years of experience in facilities management or equipment maintenance, with supervisory or engineering roles.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance, electronics, and mechanical systems.
  • Technical expertise in facility systems and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, and demonstrate a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all management levels.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations and training experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the medical device or regulated industry.
Education

Technical certification or equivalent technical working experience preferred.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This role primarily involves office and manufacturing environments, requiring frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Daily use of computers and digital devices is necessary.
