Our client is a leading manufacturer specializing in precision plastic components and multi-material injection molding. Based in Penang, they serve global markets across the medical, automotive, and consumer product industries.

Job Description:

1. Assist the Quality Manager in quality-related activities and initiatives.
2. Ensure all operations comply with relevant quality standards and procedures.
3. Authorize the stopping of non-conforming materials, in-process products, and finished goods from further processing or delivery.
4. Monitor and inspect the quality of incoming materials, in-process parts, and finished products.
5. Report and advise management on quality performance and trends periodically.
6. Liaise with production to identify and resolve quality issues; implement countermeasures to prevent recurrence.
7. Maintain and calibrate inspection and measuring equipment according to control standards.
8. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of customer complaints, including corrective and preventive actions.
9. Ensure corrective actions are implemented and effective.
10. Promote the use of process approach and risk-based thinking across departments.
11. Communicate the importance of effective quality management and compliance with QMS requirements.
12. Ensure the Quality Management System (QMS) achieves its intended results.
13. Engage and support staff to contribute to the effectiveness of the quality and environmental management systems.
14. Promote continuous improvement in all quality-related activities.
15. Support other management roles in demonstrating leadership in quality within their departments.
16. Serve as an Internal Quality Auditor (IQA) to ensure QMS is implemented and maintained.
17. Support and maintain the quality and environmental management systems.
18. Perform other duties as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Qualifications and Experience

1. Minimum Diploma in a relevant field.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience in the Quality Assurance field.
3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
4. Supervisory skills are an added advantage.
