Job description

Job Summary

We seek a highly experienced Operations Manager to oversee and optimize production activities in injection molding, box build assembly and wire harness manufacturing. This leadership role is key to ensuring operational excellence, consistent product quality, and timely delivery. The ideal candidate will bring 8–10 years of manufacturing experience, strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma, and a proven track record of team leadership and continuous

improvement.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production & Operations Management

  • Oversee daily operations across injection molding, box build, and wire harness manufacturing to ensure efficient workflows and high-quality output.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer delivery deadlines and optimize resource utilization.
  • Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and internal company policies.
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) such as OEE, throughput, and scrap rate to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead the implementation of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process optimization initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste.

2. Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Enforce quality control standards to ensure consistent product performance and reliability.
  • Work collaboratively with the Quality Assurance team to conduct audits, root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality awareness, and operational excellence across all departments.

3. Supply Chain & Inventory Coordination

  • Partner with procurement and supply chain teams to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Optimize inventory levels to maintain smooth production flow while minimizing holding costs.
  • Participate in vendor evaluation and development, contributing to sourcing strategies that enhance quality, cost-efficiency, and delivery reliability.

4. Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop production teams, building strong engagement, skill development, and accountability.
  • Set clear team objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide actionable feedback for continuous growth.
  • Foster a safe, collaborative, and high-performance work culture.

5. Customer & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Interface with customers to ensure alignment on product requirements, lead times, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Sales to meet overall business and customer goals.
  • Contribute to enhanced customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring prompt issue resolution and consistent service delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field.
  • 8–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, including direct involvement in injection molding, box build assembly, and wire harness processes.
  • Proven experience in applying Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and modern production planning tools.
  • Familiarity with automation, smart manufacturing, and Industry 4.0 technologies.
