The Role

AMD is seeking a highly talented engineer to join our Server Platform Solution Engineering (SPSE) team as a Graduate Trainee. The role involves working on platform designs, validations, and solutions to help our customers succeed with AMD EPYC systems. The engineer will collaborate with validation teams and customers during critical issue escalations to ensure timely resolution aligned with product development or sustaining milestones. This position offers opportunities to learn simulation, emulation, and validation during pre-silicon and post-silicon phases, contributing to the delivery of next-generation computing platforms and positioning AMD as a leader in high-performance computing systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in setting up and enabling the latest AMD Server Platform Designs.
• Participate in defining current and next-generation products, addressing key design and methodology challenges.
• Engage in projects involving design, simulation, emulation, validation, and customer communication.
• Test and validate the power and performance of server platforms against product feature specifications.
• Brainstorm and debug server platform issues to meet product feature requirements.
• Work with both hardware and software daily to perform validation activities.
• Simulate, emulate, debug, and validate product features including Device Power, Device Thermal, PCIe Gen5, DDR5, SATA, and USB.

Preferred Experience

• Good communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to multitask across multiple projects.
• Knowledge of C++, Python, or other programming languages.

Academic Credentials

• Engineering Graduates in Electrical & Electronics, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
