We have multiple Transfer Agency Team Lead opportunities within our FNZ APAC Transfer Agency team. This role supports the manager in handling daily operational tasks within a designated functional area and its associated operations team. The role also involves delivering services from the team to our clients and their underlying investors on behalf of FNZ.
The responsibilities include managing all day-to-day Transfer Agency processes, regulatory and financial risks, driving change initiatives, and ensuring effective implementation to meet FNZ compliance standards. The role requires delivering accurate and compliant services in accordance with clients' and internal KPIs.
FNZ Transfer Agency manages the Legal Fund Registers on behalf of our clients. It is not a custodian; assets are not held in our name as a nominee.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Process and Operations
- Assist the Operations Manager in managing daily operations and processes to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and team members to address business needs and perform quality control on UAT for system enhancements.
- Support and contribute to the delivery of technology solutions that meet business objectives, service standards, and compliance requirements for future changes, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Ensure resilience within the functional area; deliver timely and accurate reporting to management and clients.
- Assist in managing KPI/KRI delivery related to customer contractual terms, taking actions to prevent failures through control and oversight.
- Manage error processes, including major errors, escalation, analysis, and reporting; support risk management activities covering Control Attestation, Risk Event, and Breach Reporting.
- Coordinate audits, client visits, or material meetings/engagements.
- Participate in team governance, corporate service meetings, and change meetings to ensure effective outcomes, escalations, understanding, testing, and readiness.
- Support the team in driving the right client engagement and behaviors to deliver first-class service.
Leadership:
- Support junior staff to ensure control, risk management, and client engagement standards.
- Lead and oversee the development of the team through training, skill management, feedback, and coaching.
- Contribute to operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote FNZ's culture of collaboration and ethical decision-making, adhering to conduct standards.
Ideal Candidate:
- Degree or equivalent in finance, business, or a numerate discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' operations experience in Transfer Agency.
- Experience in training and developing junior team members preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of Unit Trusts & PRS.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Strong operational knowledge of functions within remit.
- Change management experience.
- Understanding of risk and compliance policies in financial services.
- Knowledge of Malaysian financial services industry.
