Job Description
Undertake, implement, and execute the development, implementation, and monitoring of short, medium, and long-term strategic plans for the communications and multimedia (C&M) industry or related sectors within MCMC's scope. Aim to enhance the Commission's regulatory roles, priorities, and objectives while supporting industry development.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute plans to identify initiatives and formulate strategic proposals, frameworks, or blueprints within the C&M regulatory framework to address industry challenges, protect stakeholders' rights, and align with developmental agendas.
- Monitor the implementation of these initiatives to ensure objectives and targets are achieved.
- Escalate issues related to these initiatives to higher authorities within MCMC or the Ministry for resolution.
- Implement departmental plans based on the Annual Work Plan to meet KPIs and targets.
- Assess practicality of implementation approaches, ensuring relevance and feasibility for management recommendations.
- Prepare relevant documents such as draft papers, presentations, and reports to inform management and stakeholders.
- Conduct research and benchmarking to support proposals and enable informed decision-making.
- Respond to internal and external stakeholder queries in a timely manner.
- Organize engagement sessions to gather feedback and concerns for consideration in strategic planning.
- Undertake ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors to support departmental objectives.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
- Represent the department in organizational meetings and exercises.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Qualification in any discipline from a reputable university with a minimum CGPA of 3.00.
Work Experience
- 4-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in the communications and multimedia industry.
- Good understanding of C&M regulatory frameworks, roles, and processes.
- Strong analytical skills related to industry, market, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of state and federal issues, infrastructure deployment, and access frameworks.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Effective time management and a sense of urgency.
Willingness to work in Cyberjaya is required.
