Job Title: EHSS Senior Technician

Position Overview:

The EHSS (Environment, Health, Safety, and Security) Senior Technician at Insulet Malaysia will support staff, outsource service providers, contractors, and visitors to ensure their activities support business objectives, comply with cGMP requirements, and promote performance and development. Responsibilities include safety management, monitoring, reporting, and engaging staff in EHSS programs to ensure safe workplace practices. The role requires flexibility to work in shifts, as the plant operates 24/7.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations in Malaysia, including local, state, and federal rules.
2. Interact effectively with all departments and fulfill job requests promptly.
3. Inspect work activities in IMY areas, ensuring EHSS regulations and work permits are followed.
4. Assist during emergencies to minimize impact on operations, property, and environment.
5. Support EHSS audits and inspections by authorities such as DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, SPKA, KPDNKK, etc.
6. Assist in Permit to Work processes for major repairs, ensuring adherence to EHSS guidelines.
7. Monitor contractor work and ensure compliance with EHSS rules.
8. Oversee CCTV surveillance and report non-compliance issues.
9. Support security operations and perform site walk-throughs to identify hazards and areas for improvement.
10. Review safety data, recommend corrective actions, and promote safety campaigns.
11. Conduct safety briefings for new employees and contractors.
12. Perform random PPE checks and inspect equipment for hazards.
13. Observe employee work practices for safety compliance.
14. Conduct weekly inspections of safety equipment like fire extinguishers and alarms.
15. Perform any additional tasks assigned by superiors.

Education and Experience:

• Diploma or equivalent education certification required.
• Yellow book certification is a major advantage.
• Knowledge of occupational safety and health.
• Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Dedicated and proactive attitude.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

• Experience in a clean room environment is advantageous.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing work plans and environment.
• Multilingual abilities in English and Malay preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to analyze incidents, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures.
• Work on shifts, including weekends, as needed.
• Stand for at least 75% of shift and walk at least 50%.
