What is the opportunity?

Our client is a specialist provider of asset services, custody, payments, and treasury services. Founded in 1864, they are the 10th largest bank worldwide and the 5th in North America, as measured by market capitalization. They are recognized for their financial strength, market leadership, and philanthropic work.

Their processing centre in Malaysia supports 10 countries across three time zones, employing a Global Operating Model to maximize efficiencies and support a 24/5 operational capability. The objectives are to enhance scalability, improve service quality through centres of excellence, and implement standardized processes globally.

This role is within the Client Data Management team of the Private Banking Ops department in Wealth Management Asia. It involves processing client and static data updates accurately and timely according to SLAs, handling asset creation, maintenance, pricing updates, reporting, and query resolution.

What will you do?

  • Setup and verify new account requests
  • Perform account maintenance for client requests
  • Generate communication letters for account updates
  • Perform account closures and prepare closure letters
  • Scan and index documents in Content Manager
  • Process audit confirmation requests
  • Conduct name searches for bankruptcy or enforcement checks
  • Process asset creation and maintenance (e.g., bond ratings, risk levels)
  • Handle products like Equity, Fixed Income, Funds, Structured Notes, Derivatives
  • Update daily asset prices in Avaloq System and perform pricing checks
  • Manage interest rates, FX rates, fee schedules, and static setups
  • Ensure compliance with bank rules, procedures, and local requirements
  • Manage requests and queries within stipulated timeframes
  • Maintain control points and address queries promptly
  • Conduct weekly and monthly pricing investigations and escalations
  • Follow WM escalation protocols

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Self-motivated with ability to work under pressure
  • 1-2 years of experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management preferred; fresh graduates are welcome
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Responsible with attention to accuracy and completeness

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with Avaloq system and client data management
  • Experience with Bloomberg, Telekurs, static setups, pricing policies
  • Mandarin reading and writing skills are an advantage
