Job Description

The position is responsible for creating and maintaining monitoring processes to track the portfolio performance in order to provide business recommendations for profitability and production enhancement; assisting Personal Lines Underwriting Management to produce pricing analysis for Personal Lines products.

Major duties and responsibilities
  1. Maintain detailed data relating to Personal Lines Business.
  2. Recommend modifications in rating and/or risk selection guidelines based on portfolio analysis.
  3. Assist underwriting team to create pricing indications on new coverages or products.
  4. Provide Monthly and Quarterly internal and regulatory reports.
  5. Coordinate with MIS/IT on reporting requirements.
  6. Assist in preparing data for budgeting purposes.
  7. Assist in preparing data for rate review processes and provide information/analysis requested by Regional and Local Actuaries.
  8. Assist in working with claims department to detect adverse claims trends.
  9. Monitor production and claim performance of fleet accounts & specific accounts.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Familiarity with statistical computer programming languages such as MS Access, SAS, SQL, and RADAR is advantageous.
  • Marketing, customer focus, and result orientation.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively and prioritize activities.
  • Excellent English communication skills and computer literacy.
Experience
  • 2-3 years of experience in Personal Lines Insurance is preferred.
Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Actuarial Science or Statistics.
