Job summary

A leading company in Sarawak is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to assist in planning and executing maintenance schedules for their facilities. The ideal candidate will have a Malaysian Skill Certificate and relevant experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance. Assist the Facility or Plant(s) Engineers in planning, developing, and executing maintenance schedules and works.

Oversee and monitor mechanical and electrical maintenance requirements of Facility or Plant(s) components.

Upkeep, monitor, and audit records of Facility or Plant(s) mechanical and electrical maintenance histories, supplies, and consumables.

Coordinate and supervise external mechanical or electrical maintenance works carried out at the Facility or Plant(s).

Plan and execute troubleshooting, repair, and handling of day-to-day maintenance of the Facility or Plant(s).

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Malaysian Skill Certificate (SKM) with relevant certification from recognized industrial or technical educational institutes, with at least two (2) years’ experience in a related field.
  • Minimum Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM). Possess relevant qualification from recognized center of education, Polytechnics or other industrial training. Those with lower qualification (PMR or SPM) must have at least 5 years of experience in maintenance and process in the operation of chemical-based industry.
  • Able to speak and write in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Conversant in reading mechanical/electrical drawings and line diagrams.
  • Knowledge of regulations pertaining to industrial work safety – DOSH and related local authority.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement techniques such as Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) or others.
  • Possess own transport and valid driving license.
