Job description

You are responsible for production planning, including scheduling and sequencing for production line to ensure customers’ requirements are produced and enable delivery timely.

What You'll Do

• Ensure load line to the maximum capacity and based on orders priority set for different classification of customers.
• Reduce downtime (production planning related) for line measured on a month-to-month basis.
• Minimize feed stock builds and shocks to the Supply Chain system.
• Review and set campaign run for each production unit and revise Master Schedule on future loading capacity, line stop or maintenance and to material availability.
• Discuss line/Machine performance to the Production Team.
• Execution of orders as planned for all line/Machine and customer order delivery dates and provide Manufacturing Orders accurately and timely to Operations.
• Liaise with Customer Service and Manufacturing Team in handling customer’s special request, non-standard requirements and updating of order status and available production window for urgent orders and forward orders.
• Ensure Zero error in coil issuance to Manufacturing Orders and Zero stock out for CRC, WIP and paint planned for Manufacturing Order.
• Work on the reduction in number of rework items, stock accuracy, physical and system tally.
• Ensure proper documentation for all production related transaction and accurate labeling based on ISO procedure standards.

What You Need to Succeed

• Diploma/Degree in Production/Manufacturing, Business Administration or any related discipline.
• Fresh graduate is encouraged to apply. At least 2 years of experience within the steel/construction industry to enable strong product and application knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, good team player and able to work independently.
• Possess strong organizational skill with the ability to interpret statistical data.
• Well verse is both Bahasa Malaysia and English language; written and verbal.
