Business Analyst Sr, SAP

Responsibilities

1. Functional Team member for Operations SAP Global Support Team.
2. Support the current production environment for SAP ECC, SAP PP (Production Planning), and SAP QM (Quality Management).
3. Main point of contact for troubleshooting SAP PP and SAP QM related incidents and service requests for Medical Devices business unit on SAP.
4. Represent the configuration and customization changes in SAP global release meeting for SAP Operations L2 team for moving changes to production system.
5. Understand the business processes, its complexity and provide timely and desired effective solutions to the business community.
6. Perform incident management, service request management, change requests and query resolution for tickets created in Service Now.
7. Participate in incidents Root Cause Analysis (“RCA”), propose permanent solution for repetitive issues (analyzed via remedy data analysis) and execution.
8. Provide support for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
9. Perform batch job monitoring to solve batch job failures.
10. Escalate tickets to other Abbott support team such as BASIS, Security, L3 design & development, and coordinate with Abbott / subject matter expert to resolve production support tickets.
11. Support the SAP support pack testing Type 1, Type 2, adhoc testing and custom transaction testing.
12. Carry out testing for Changes in HP ALM for test scenarios associated with incidents and service requests.
13. Coordinate with AMS team for development, support, maintenance, review of service requests and incidents.
14. Prepare status reporting and operational reviews with IT Global Support manager.
15. Assist project team member(s) for current and future release activities.
16. Develop and deliver training programs for end-users and junior team members.
17. Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and trends to drive continuous improvement.
18. Provide expert guidance on SAP best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
19. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze business needs, translating them into technical specifications.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP implementation and support.
3. In-depth knowledge of SAP modules such as PP, QM, and MM.
4. Strong understanding of SAP integration with other enterprise systems.
5. Proven experience in production support.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. SAP certification is a plus.
9. Knowledge of Service Now is a plus.
10. Knowledge of SAP-MES integration preferred.
