Job Description

Job Purpose:
Execute day-to-day logistics operations for Base Oils and additives, ensuring compliance with standards and timely stock replenishment to support production for Lubricants Manufacturing.

Key Accountabilities:
  1. Coordinate deliveries with transporters and freight forwarders for RMs.
  2. Convert the Order Requisition to Purchase Order and send the order to suppliers.
  3. Ensure all purchase orders for additives are accurate in quantity and date in JDE to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Arrange and prepare documentation for collection of additives with transporters daily.
  5. Ensure every lorry carrying additives is received in good condition, with correct quantity and grade to avoid blending downtime.
  6. Perform tank dips and calculate Base Oil levels for accurate stock management.
  7. Manage shipment documentation and ensure compliance with Schedule C for RMs.
  8. Monitor and assist unloading operations for bulk tankers and drum additives.
  9. Conduct stock-take activities and ensure alignment between physical and system records.
  10. Resolve stock discrepancies and plan replenishments efficiently.
  11. Maintain documentation for audits, including customs and consignment records.
  12. Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and TS16949 standards.
  13. Contribute to maintaining BP HSSE standards and requirements.
  14. Balance delivery timelines with compliance requirements.
  15. Manage documentation accuracy for customs and audits.
  16. Ensure all receipts are performed accurately and timely in JDE.
  17. Liaise with transporters and freight forwarders to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  18. Assist in monthly stock takes for base oil and additives.
  19. Understand ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & TS16949 standards.
Key Requirements:
  1. Possess a diploma or equivalent in engineering or management.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in a large manufacturing environment.
  3. Good understanding of JDE.
  4. Skills in Inventory Control and Process Control.
  5. Good product portfolio knowledge.
  6. Knowledge of freight forwarding and customs procedures.
  7. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Fluent in spoken and written English.
