Job Description

To achieve an enjoyable, convenient, and successful shopping and buying experience that leads to increased sales and long-term profitability.

To optimize the IKEA shopping experience in your shop and store to ensure satisfied customers and increased sales. You will motivate and inspire your department team using knowledge of the IKEA product range, services, the local market, and IKEA customers, utilizing IKEA tools and team expertise.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the right number of competent co-workers are in the right place at the right time, fully able and available to serve and assist customers.
  2. Maintain the shop in excellent condition, fully stocked with the four merchandising basics, and present the IKEA product range in inspiring and satisfying ways.
  3. Ensure your team has accurate knowledge about the product range and IKEA services to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  4. Understand IKEA's sales and communication channels and utilize this knowledge to serve different customer needs effectively.
  5. Take responsibility for your department goals, implementing action plans aligned with country priorities, and follow up using proven solutions and examples.
  6. Drive sales by focusing on top-selling products, prioritized items, and IKEA service products to maximize sales and profitability.
  7. Act swiftly on commercial opportunities, product availability, and customer feedback to adapt strategies accordingly.
  8. Monitor competitors and communicate insights to the Service Office when necessary.
  9. Develop your team and ensure succession planning is in place.
  10. Promote IKEA's social and environmental commitments, encouraging team contributions to sustainability.
  11. Execute actions based on key performance indicator analysis at the shopkeeper level.
Qualifications
  1. Minimum of 5 years experience in a fast-paced retail environment, with an interest in home furnishings.
  2. Self-motivated, analytical, and skilled in implementing commercial strategies and guiding teams towards sales goals.
  3. Proven team player with strong customer understanding and sales skills.
  4. Problem solver and decision-maker, capable of prioritizing and organizing work efficiently.
  5. Effective communicator, adept at multitasking and working with co-workers at all levels.
