Job Responsibilities
- Assist and support the Branch Manager in executing business plans and strategies to achieve branch and bank targets, including personal targets.
- Familiarize with the bank's standard procedures and workflows to ensure full compliance with all requirements.
- Implement East Malaysia corporate banking business development initiatives.
- Support Departmental Heads of Local Corporate Banking and China Corporate Banking in executing business strategies to meet targets, focusing on Local Listed Companies, China-based companies, MNCs, and GLCs.
- Market and cross-sell the bank's products and services according to policies and guidelines.
- Proactively pursue business opportunities, develop strategies, and take actions to generate revenue, including identifying market prospects and closing deals.
- Recommend and submit credit proposals in accordance with credit policies and shareholder mandates, seeking management approval.
- Monitor and conduct timely credit reviews of the portfolio under management.
- Respond promptly to queries from Credit Evaluation, Risk, Management, and Credit Committee regarding accounts under management.
- Deliver high-quality, professional customer service to both new and existing clients, ensuring effective marketing and business development activities.
- Maintain compliance with operating procedures, product guidelines, and regulatory rules, including AML regulations, executing responsibilities ethically and lawfully.
- Promote and uphold the bank's organizational culture, values, and reputation in the market.
- Stay informed of market conditions and competitors' offerings to remain competitive.
- Ensure strict compliance with bank policies, Bank Negara Malaysia regulations, and other relevant authorities.
- Manage compliance risks associated with daily activities, processes, and systems.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned by the Head of Department or Senior Management.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, banking, accounting, or related fields from a reputable university. Professional credit certifications like PCC, CCE, BCP are advantageous.
- At least 8 years of experience in corporate or SME banking with a proven track record.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Good communication skills in English and/or Mandarin, both verbal and written.
