Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented, proactive, and driven Accounts Executive to join our growing team. In this role, you will manage financial processes, including the preparation of full set accounts, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting and analysis. You will assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements, while supporting audits and ensuring adherence to financial regulations. Strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment are essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities:

Finance & Accounting

  • Monitor day-to-day financial operations within the company, including invoicing and other transactions.
  • Managing the timely and accurate processing of supplier invoices, ensuring proper approvals, and maintaining accurate records of payments. You will ensure that all payables are paid on time and work closely with vendors to resolve any discrepancies.
  • Overseeing the billing and collection process, tracking patient invoices, ensuring timely receipt of payments, and following up on overdue accounts. You will also assist in the preparation of patient statements and related financial reports.
  • Prepare month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial closing process (including adjustment).
  • Oversee monthly journals for accounting entries such as accruals, provisions, and prepayments.
  • Review audit schedules (Monthly), Prepare transfer pricing documentation (Yearly), Prepare consolidation account (Quarterly).
  • Oversee fixed assets register, cash flow management & FD/Repo placement (Daily).
  • Witness and record on the disposal of defective items.
  • Verify & oversee inventory stock take schedule for outlets and consignments in accordance to the quarterly stock take schedule.
  • Manage and handle any ad-hoc assignments and tasks.

Procurement

  • Meeting with vendors to negotiate the best contracts.
  • Monitor stock levels, place orders as needed, and ensure the proper housekeeping and integrity of stock inventory to prevent damage or loss.
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery.
  • Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.

Requirements:

  • Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in accounting and finance.
  • Languages required: English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. We are looking for candidates who are proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • A collaborative team player and able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
