Job description

Responsibilities:

  1. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues remotely, including PCs, Microsoft servers, smartphones, printers, routers, VMs, VOIP, VLANs, etc.
  2. Set up new users and maintain their accounts through various administrative control panels.
  3. Prepare new computers according to each user’s environment.
  4. Work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment with patience and humility.
  5. Communicate effectively and tactfully with customers of varying technical knowledge and emotional states.
  6. Provide support via phone, chat, or email, including remote management tools.
  7. Possess near-perfect English speaking skills.
  8. Have 1-2 years of experience in IT/help desk roles, with entry to mid-level experience.
  9. Understand Active Directory and server concepts; be able to discuss mid-sized IT infrastructures.
  10. Hold or be willing to obtain certifications such as A+ and N+ (company offers support for certification).
  11. Demonstrate working knowledge and experience with servers and networking equipment.
  12. Experience with direct and self-guided remediation of server and network outages.
