Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Murex/Risk Developer with a strong background in global market engineering. The ideal candidate will have 6-9 years of experience in Murex systems, SQL, and Unix environments. You will play a key role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining Murex solutions for risk management and reporting, ensuring the robustness and efficiency of global market operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Murex solutions for risk management and reporting to meet the evolving needs of the global market.
• Develop and implement risk management functionalities, including advanced analytics and reporting tools, using Murex and SQL.
• Oversee the integration of Murex with other systems and data sources, ensuring smooth data flow and consistency across platforms.
• Optimize the performance of Murex applications and associated SQL queries, focusing on scalability and efficiency in high-volume environments.
• Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts to automate processes and manage system operations related to Murex and data workflows.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative environment and sharing best practices.
• Identify, diagnose, and resolve complex issues related to Murex applications, data integrity, and system performance.
• Engage with business stakeholders and risk managers to understand requirements, deliver solutions, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
• 6-9 years of hands-on experience with Murex systems, including development, configuration, and support.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with Unix environments for scripting and system management.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Python for developing custom solutions and enhancements.
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience in risk management and financial analytics.
• Demonstrated experience in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and Murex applications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality solutions within deadlines.
