Job description

A Hotel Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing a sales team to achieve company sales goals. They oversee sales operations, set targets, provide training, and motivate their team to generate leads and build customer relationships. This role involves strategic planning, performance management, and collaboration with other departments to drive revenue growth.

Job Descriptions:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue goals.
  • Build relationships with guests/clients to increase repeat bookings and prospect new business through referrals, networking, and cold-calling.
  • Organize regular sales visits to foster good relationships with all clients.
  • Coordinate with hotel departments (e.g., front office, F&B, banquets) to ensure client satisfaction.
  • Prepare sales forecasts and budgets.
  • Conduct site inspections and entertain clients during their visits to the hotel.
  • Liaise with clients on accommodation and event matters.
  • Ensure employees are familiar with the operation and application of the hotel’s computer systems.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor performance to identify new opportunities.
  • Keep staff well-informed about the daily operations of key departments such as Front Office, Food and Beverage, Housekeeping, etc.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a sales management role, preferably in the hotel industry.
  • Proven experience in hotel or hospitality sales; minimum 2-3 years in a similar industry.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work required for events or client meetings.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
