A leading company in the manufacturing sector is seeking a Purchasing Executive to manage procurement processes and supplier relations. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in purchasing and must be proficient in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia. Responsibilities include processing orders, verifying stock levels, and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Liaise with storekeeper regarding raw material usage.
• Coordinate with internal departments to determine purchasing needs.
• Verify stock levels upon receiving purchase requisitions.
• Process purchase orders and follow up with suppliers on order status.
• Ensure procured products meet QA/QC standards.
• Issue Goods Received Notes (GRN) upon receipt of materials.
• Maintain and update records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials and resolve supply issues.
• Manage daily operational purchasing needs, including planning, issuing, and following up on purchase orders, delivery, and shipment schedules.
• Assist in sourcing new suppliers, negotiate, and evaluate their performance.
• Conduct comparative analysis of supplier prices.
• Review and evaluate supplier delivery performance and maintain supplier database information.
• Support cost reduction initiatives and procurement process improvements.
• Perform weekly and monthly spot stock-takes of raw materials accurately.
• Manage ad hoc tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Required languages: Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin speaking and reading skills are a MUST, as we deal with Mandarin-speaking suppliers.
• Must be computer literate.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Responsible, proactive, willing to learn, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work in Semenyih starting September 2025.
