Job description

My client is a well-known MNC manufacturer of building materials. They are currently looking for Senior Mechanical Engineers to join their newly created team. This role will be based in Selangor/ Melaka, and you will be travelling across Asia.

Responsibilities:

• Manage regional and factory-level projects, including vendor technical evaluations, solution design, fabrication oversight, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), installation, testing, commissioning, Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), system upgrades, and troubleshooting.
• Handle project budgeting, scheduling, and risk/contingency planning.
• Enhance process efficiency, safety, health, and environmental (SHE) control systems for improved reliability.
• Prepare AutoCAD drawings, maintain technical documentation, conduct training, and manage intellectual property (IP).
• Conduct engineering calculations to guide factory design decisions and ensure adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with international, regional, local, and external stakeholders.
• Serve as either a project team leader or team member for assigned initiatives.
• Engage in cross-cultural and cross-functional teamwork; open to international travel for assignments.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Solid background in engineering projects, utilities, and maintenance operations.
• Demonstrates creativity and innovation in problem-solving.
• Strong analytical thinking and critical reasoning abilities.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in both written and spoken English.
• Skilled in using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent tools.
• Multilingual abilities; Chinese-speaking candidates are advantageous.
• Must be willing to travel.
