Job description

Manage all aspects of the facilities Operations and Maintenance team in accordance with policies, procedures, regulations, and service level agreements.

Identify and develop annual plans for facility management activities, ensuring compliance with safety, health, environment, and regulatory requirements.

Develop and oversee cost control measures and process improvements related to facilities management, benchmarking industry trends.

Manage budgets and negotiate with vendors for supplies, repairs, and services to maximize value for money.

Analyze equipment maintenance structures, investigate failures, assess spare parts and replacements, and report safety hazards.

Plan for future development, including equipment upgrades and machinery modifications aligned with strategic business objectives.

Investigate equipment breakdowns and monitor post-repair performance for deficiencies.

Ensure effective planning and execution of preventive maintenance according to service levels.

Evaluate individual and team performance against set objectives, and implement improvements and career development plans.

Ensure facilities comply with government regulations and standards for environment, health, and security.

Lead the team in TPM implementation.

Maintain workforce stability within the facilities team.

Perform any additional functions assigned by the HOD.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as an Engineering or Facilities Manager.
  • Technical competence with strong problem-solving, analytical, and managerial skills.
  • Understanding of TPM is essential.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Responsible for energy management, aiming to reduce energy consumption by 5% annually.
  • Familiarity with power supply and distribution design and construction in a factory setting.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin for liaising with Chinese shareholders.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Transmission Major.
  • Electrical Engineering background preferred.
  • Experience with LV/HV substations is advantageous.
