About the role

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Account Assistant to join our team at Guan Kee Machinery & Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru, Johor. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support to ensure the smooth financial operations of our company.

What you'll be doing

• Preparing and processing accounts payable transactions
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation for all financial transactions
• Reconciling bank statements and other financial accounts
• Assisting with the preparation of financial statements and reports
• Providing administrative support to the accounting team as needed
• Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies

What we're looking for

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably in the equipment or machinery industry
• Strong attention to detail and excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Proficiency in using accounting software such as SQL and Million Accounting software, as well as Microsoft Office applications
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with internal stakeholders
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Relevant accounting qualification or certification would be an advantage
