Job description

Business Support Manager / Senior Manager (Finance)

Summary

Oversee the Financial Accounts of all Corporate Real Estate (CRE), including fixed assets management, Annual Operating Plan process, lease payments in accordance with IFRS 16, provide functional support to all CRE work streams, finalize Capital Project accounts, manage property-related data within HUB ADM, and ensure accounts compliance with group standards, regulatory bodies, and regional reporting requirements.

Roles and responsibilities include:

  • Ensure data integrity of fixed asset records, maintaining compliance with GRCA, IAS, and FRS standards.
  • Approve daily maintenance of Fixed Asset Files, including invoices and transfer journals.
  • Verify and approve asset scrapping, sales, trades, or transfers, and conduct annual fixed asset reconciliations.
  • Control HUB ADM system data accuracy through updates to the control file, including accounts, item codes, and properties.
  • Monitor and rectify asset-related exceptions and un-posted transactions daily.

Finalize Capital Projects accounts for new branches, relocations, refurbishments, and related projects.

  • Review and categorize WIP GL entries to appropriate asset or P&L accounts, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Process asset maintenance related to refurbishment and branch activities.
  • Assist with monthly asset movement analysis for financial reporting and tax review.

Supervise invoice processing and manage accruals.

  • Ensure timely processing and accuracy of CRE invoices and related costs.

Support lease and estate transaction processing, including renewals, deposits, and IFRS16 reconciliation.

  • Record and monitor security and utility deposits.
  • Coordinate deposit refunds upon lease exits.
  • Reconcile IFRS16 variances monthly with FIN/PTE teams.

Provide data for reporting and strategic analysis.

  • Generate reports for management and regional use.
  • Ensure timely submission of returns and statistical data, including environmental reports.
  • Perform month-end reconciliations and follow up on aged items.

Develop and implement processes for new systems and initiatives, troubleshoot HUB ADM system issues, and support system rollouts.

  • Guide internal users on HUB ADM system use.
  • Address system anomalies and prepare for system upgrades.

Manage the Annual Operating Planning process.

  • Track costs against budgets and provide monthly updates.
  • Coordinate with regional and local teams to ensure accurate and timely AOP submission.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in real estate.
  • Knowledge of lease/estate management and real estate transactions.
  • Strong accounting, financial analysis, and client understanding skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively across cultures.
  • Strong presentation skills and analytical problem-solving mindset.
