Job description

1) Responsible for day-to-day finance and accounts administration tasks.

2) Perform and handle full sets of accounts.

3) Liaise with customers and suppliers regarding orders, payments, receipts, and obtaining relevant information.

4) Assist in any other accounting and administrative tasks assigned by the immediate superior.

5) Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and yearly closing of accounts and related reports (e.g., sales reports, cash flow reports), both internally and externally.

6) Liaise with auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, bankers, etc.

7) Maintain proper records and organize filing systems.

8) Ensure accuracy of financial data.

9) Manage cash flow, including preparation of cash flow statements and documents for bank transactions.

10) Prepare relevant reconciliations, journal entries, postings, accruals, etc., prior to monthly closing.

11) Provide tax information to tax agents for submissions, including SST submissions.

12) Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.

13) Manage petty cash and expense claims.

14) Support accounting issues or queries from stakeholders.

15) Prepare financial information for analysis purposes.

16) Assist with ad-hoc tasks and management inquiries.

Job Requirements:

- Possess at least a Higher Diploma or Certificate in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.

- Minimum of 2.5 years' experience as an Accounts Assistant or Accounts Executive preferred.

- Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures.

- Familiar with accounting standards, tax laws, and filing procedures.

- Good math skills and the ability to identify numerical errors.

- Basic to intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and good knowledge of accounting software.

- Good organizational and multi-tasking skills.

- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

- Team player with initiative to learn and contribute.

- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
