Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to the Maintenance Manager in planning, coordinating, and implementing maintenance strategies.
  • Act as a point of contact for escalating maintenance-related issues and resolving them effectively.
  • Oversee day-to-day maintenance activities, ensuring all tasks are executed efficiently and meet safety standards.
  • Collaborate with teams to schedule preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and assess contractor performance to ensure compliance with agreed service standards.
  • Standardize contracts for external maintenance services to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Identify areas for process improvement to enhance the efficiency of maintenance operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize breakdown response times and improve overall system reliability.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to maintenance team members to foster a cohesive and productive work environment.
  • Support team members in troubleshooting, decision-making, and executing their responsibilities.
  • Regularly review maintenance budgets, track expenditures, and analyze spending patterns.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction while maintaining operational efficiency and quality standards.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all maintenance activities, including schedules, reports, and equipment histories.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate and comprehensive maintenance master data system to support operations and planning.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive cost management plan that identifies key areas for cost savings across maintenance operations.
  • Establish metrics to measure the efficiency of maintenance spending and regularly report on cost-saving initiatives.
  • Assess resource allocation (personnel, tools, and equipment) to ensure optimal utilization and minimize unnecessary expenditures.
  • Implement inventory management best practices to reduce excess stock and minimize waste.
  • Introduce continuous improvement methodologies to identify inefficiencies and streamline maintenance processes.
  • Facilitate regular training sessions for the maintenance team to ensure they are updated on best practices and cost-saving techniques.
  • Negotiate better rates with contractors and suppliers based on performance reviews and market analysis.
  • Develop long-term partnerships with key vendors to ensure better pricing and service reliability.
  • Benchmark contractor performance against industry standards and best practices to identify opportunities for cost efficiency.
  • Conduct regular audits of maintenance activities and contractor performance to ensure compliance and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Promote the adoption of energy-efficient technologies and sustainable practices to reduce operational costs over time.
  • Evaluate and implement preventive maintenance schedules that enhance equipment longevity, thereby reducing replacement costs.
  • Leverage data analytics tools to assess maintenance trends and identify patterns that lead to unplanned spending.
  • Implement a predictive maintenance strategy that utilizes data to anticipate and address equipment failures before they occur, minimizing costly downtime.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance management or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance management systems and processes.
  • Proficiency in contract management and vendor relations.
  • Familiarity with preventive and corrective maintenance strategies.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide team members.
