Job Description

In your new role you will:

1. Serve as the technical lead for the local team, providing expert consultancy to the Factory Integration (FI) team.
2. Act as the local and global Application Owner (AO) for assigned Material Handling Automation (MHA) applications.
3. Represent the local site as a technical advisor on MHA topics, collaborating closely with the global team in Europe and Asia-Pacific regions.
4. Oversee and manage local and global customer consulting in the Production environment.
5. Lead and guide smaller project teams, ensuring efficient project execution and delivery.
6. Translate user requirements into tailored MHA solutions.
7. Take responsibility for transferring existing solutions from other sites to the local site.
8. Actively contribute to knowledge sharing across both local and global teams, fostering continuous improvement.
9. Implement new features into existing applications and develop innovative automation solutions, adhering to approved technologies and Infineon’s FI architectural guidelines.
10. Conduct Automation Capability Management (TOS/ACM) testing and engage in technical negotiations with equipment vendors.
11. Perform functional testing of MHA components prior to their rollout into production.
12. Foster best practice exchange with global team members to drive continuous improvement.
13. Manage documentation work in EA.
14. Oversee and manage external onsite/offsite development teams.

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

1. Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer/Software Engineering, or a related Engineering field (such as Electrical, Electronic, Microelectronics, or Semiconductor Technology).
2. Proven experience in factory automation solution design, semiconductor manufacturing processes, and systems.
3. Strong project management background with expertise in application development within Manufacturing IT systems.
4. Hands-on experience with semiconductor automation, including material handling, Material Control Systems (MCS), material identification, and storage systems.
5. Advanced knowledge of semiconductor equipment integration, with familiarity in SEMI Standards and SECS/GEM protocols.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. A proactive mindset for supporting production environments, with a commitment to a zero-defect approach.
8. Solid understanding of existing automation solutions and their applications.
