Job description

Role Overview: The Project Engineer is responsible for the successful execution of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with AL standards, local regulations, and customer requirements. The role involves providing technical support during project feasibility studies, preparing proposals, and managing the complete project lifecycle from design to handover, with a strong focus on HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) compliance, cost control, and timely delivery.

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?

  1. Execute projects, meeting HSE targets, project milestones, schedule, and budget, while liaising with customers and authorities.
  2. Assist in enforcing HSE initiatives and compliance during project execution.
  3. Work closely with contractors and consultants during site execution to meet construction specifications.
  4. Liaise with local authorities to ensure regulatory compliance.
  5. Prepare project proposals.
  6. Evaluate project specifications and understand installation and customer requirements to determine effective system design from Air Liquide standards.
  7. Conduct needs analysis, risk assessments, and cost estimates.
  8. Assess suppliers and subcontractors in coordination with sourcing teams.
  9. Establish investment budgets and planning; prepare tender responses.
  10. Determine technical solutions, visiting customers with support from the sales team.
  11. Prepare and perform customer installations or removals.
  12. Participate in offer reviews.
  13. Manage project execution from design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, to final handover, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
  14. Prepare project documentation, including method statements, installation schedules, and system layouts.
  15. Award contracts to selected subcontractors.
  16. Determine and document standard and non-standard materials based on technical standards.
  17. Coordinate parts and service orders via purchase requests.
  18. Manage workforce and control expenses according to the project budget.
  19. Validate acceptance tests with customers, including pressure and gas purity tests.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in project engineering.
  • Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
