An established industry player is seeking a skilled Electrician or ETO to ensure the operational integrity of vessel electrical systems. This role involves conducting inspections, liaising with engineers, and preparing technical specifications for contractors. You will monitor stock levels for critical spare parts and may travel for ship visits to assist in electrical maintenance. Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of marine electrical systems. Conduct routine inspections on vessel electrical systems to ensure operational integrity and safety compliance.
Liaise with onboard ETOs, engineers, and superintendents to track electrical maintenance records and provide solutions to recurring issues.
Prepare job scopes and technical specifications for third-party contractors handling electrical works.
Monitor stock levels and requisition critical electrical spare parts as needed.
On a case-by-case basis, travel for ship visits, ship roving, assisting in electrical maintenance, monitoring ongoing work, or performing inspections as directed by the Maintenance/Technical Manager or management.
Perform any other duties or assignments as instructed by the Maintenance Manager, Technical Manager, or company management.
Requirements :
- Minimum 2-3 years experience onboard vessels as Electrician or ETO.
- Familiarity with offshore support vessels (AHTS, MPSV, SSV, LCT, etc.) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of marine electrical systems, generators, switchboards, PLC, and automation systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Willing to travel offshore or to shipyard occasionally, if required.
- Knowledge of Class, SOLAS, and relevant maritime regulations is a plus.
