A publicly listed company in Malaysia is seeking a Human Resources Executive to manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll processing, and employee relations. The scope encompasses recruitment, employee relations & retention, training and development, performance monitoring, payroll processing, permitting & compliance, technical/procedural/legal matters on human resources and office administration.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Recruitment and onboarding
Establish a recruiting, testing and interviewing program; discuss with hiring managers on candidate selection and communicate with selected candidates.
Issue appointment letters or contracts to selected candidates, using approved templates.
Define job requirements and job descriptions.
Create and maintain the organisation chart.
Obtain acceptance and signatures from candidates.
Handle onboarding procedures such as work station setup, email, equipment, etc.
Conduct orientation and onboarding briefings for new recruits.
Place recruits at designated work locations and follow up to ensure proper settling in.
Monitor probationary appraisals.
2. Payroll processing, Compensation and Benefits
Recommend salary packages for selected candidates and obtain approval from the Hiring Committee prior to offer confirmation.
Manage ad-hoc appraisals and contract renewals.
Administer employee benefits such as outpatient medical treatment, Group Personal Accident, and Group Hospital & Surgical Insurance, including additions, deletions, and renewals.
Manage employee accident and illness cases for insurance claims and follow-up on documentation until claims are obtained.
Process payroll and reimbursement claims/expenses.
Ensure all due payments to resigned or terminated employees are made in accordance with company procedures.
Conduct and analyze exit interviews and recommend improvements.
Perform other duties as assigned by management or superiors.
Requirements:
Diploma / Certificate in Human Resources / Administration or equivalent.
At least 3 years of HR experience.
Problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin.
