A leading company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced accountant to manage daily operations, ensure compliance with Malaysian standards, and provide advisory services. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, particularly in Mandarin, and be proficient in various accounting software.
Handle daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and preparation of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet).
Assist with financial closing and analysis.
Prepare and verify invoices, payment requests, and bank reconciliations.
Ensure compliance with Malaysian accounting standards (MFRS) and relevant tax regulations.
Liaise with tax authorities, auditors, and external consultants when required.
Provide accounting advisory and process improvement support to clients.
Operate accounting software such as SQL, Autocount, Xero, or QuickBooks.
Maintain organized and confidential financial documentation.
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3 to 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a consulting or outsourcing environment.
Familiar with Malaysian tax laws, SST, and financial reporting standards.
Experience managing multiple clients from different industries is a plus.
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SQL, Autocount, Xero).
Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to manage deadlines independently.
Strong communication skills, fluent in both English and Mandarin (spoken & written). We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
Able to independently handle full set of accounts and tax filings.
Professional certifications such as MIA, ACCA, CPA are an advantage.
