This position reports to

Local Div Controller, Offshore Solutions Business

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will support all financial and commercial matters related to the project. You will actively drive project performance, prepare project invoices, and handle financial accounting and reporting (including project site accounting). The work model is Hybrid or Onsite, based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will be mainly accountable for:

1. Overseeing and analyzing key project financial metrics such as Gross Margin %, absorption, cash flow, risks & opportunities, and lifecycle value, ensuring alignment with KPIs and business goals.
2. Managing project invoicing, financial accounting, and reporting activities in collaboration with project teams, driving revenue realization and optimizing cash flow.
3. Supporting comprehensive documentation and responding to audit queries to ensure compliance with audit standards.
4. Utilizing tools like SAP and PR+ for project tracking and performance reviews, and identifying system/process improvements.
5. Designing dashboards and KPIs to monitor project health and presenting insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
6. Proactively identifying risks impacting project performance and recommending mitigation strategies.
7. Establishing standardized documentation practices throughout all project phases to ensure accessibility and proper record-keeping.

Qualifications for the role

• Master's degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Project Finance, Controlling, and Accounting
• Proven experience in financial project control and management
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
• Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting
