Job summary

ASHIATECH SDN BHD is seeking an experienced QA/QC professional to oversee electrical and instrumentation installation quality for oil & gas facilities in Malaysia. You will ensure compliance with Petronas requirements, project specs, and international standards, with hands-on inspection, testing, documentation, and quality management across power and process systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in E&I inspection, testing, documentation, and quality management in power or oil & gas industries.
• 3–5 years of experience in power, oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industries.
• Experience with Petronas projects or familiarity with Petronas Technical Standards (PTS) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA/QC activities for electrical and instrumentation installation works.
• Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC plans, ITPs, method statements, and quality procedures for E&I installations.
• Inspect electrical works (cabling, glands, earthing, lighting, power distribution) and instrumentation works ( tubing, impulse lines, instruments installation, junction boxes).
• Review and approve construction drawings, material certificates, vendor docs, and test packages.
• Monitor installation quality and ensure compliance with project specs, PTS, and industry codes.
• Witness insulation resistance tests, loop checks, functional tests, and calibration.
• Coordinate with Petronas representatives, EPC contractors, and site teams to resolve QC issues.
• Manage NCRs, punch lists, QA/QC documentation, and ensure timely closure of quality actions.
• Prepare QA/QC reports, inspection reports, and quality dossiers for project completion and handover.
• Support pre-commissioning and commissioning teams to meet quality acceptance criteria.
