The World's Largest Sports Retailer is recruiting passionate sports enthusiasts to join our E-Commerce team as a Digital Marketing Specialist, also known internally as our Traffic Acquisition Specialist.
Role Overview
The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for driving high-quality traffic to our e-commerce platforms through a multi-channel strategy. This role requires expertise in SEO, paid search, paid social, influencer marketing, and marketplace advertising (Lazada, Shopee, etc.).
Responsibilities
- Traffic Acquisition & Growth Strategy
- Develop and execute a comprehensive traffic acquisition strategy across multiple digital channels, including SEO, PPC, paid social, influencer marketing, and marketplace ads.
- Optimize media buying strategies to ensure efficient spending and maximize customer acquisition and retention.
- Stay updated on emerging trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in digital marketing and e-commerce.
- Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Conduct keyword research, optimize website content, and enhance user experience to drive organic traffic.
- Monitor and improve site rankings, domain authority, and overall SEO performance.
- Paid Media Management
- Plan, execute, and optimize paid advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
- Manage ad budgets efficiently and track campaign performance against KPIs.
- Influencer & Affiliate Marketing
- Identify and collaborate with relevant influencers and affiliates to drive brand awareness and sales.
- Develop partnership strategies with influencers across social media and e-commerce platforms.
- Track influencer performance metrics and ROI.
- Marketplace Advertising (Lazada/Shopee Sponsored Ads)
- Optimize and manage paid advertising strategies on e-commerce marketplaces like Lazada and Shopee.
- Analyze marketplace trends, competition, and performance data to improve ad efficiency.
- Work closely with internal & external stakeholders to align ad strategy with commercial campaigns.
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track and analyze website and campaign performance.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports with insights for continuous improvement.
- Monitor customer acquisition costs (CAC), return on ad spend (ROAS), conversion rates, and other key metrics.
- Create & monitor performance marketing dashboards & reports for visibility.
- Provide data-driven insights on a monthly basis to optimise performance across different channels.
KPIs
- Traffic Growth: Increase organic and paid traffic to e-commerce platforms (website, Mobile APP, Lazada, Shopee, etc.).
- Online Revenue Growth: Increase turnover on e-commerce platforms using organic & paid media.
- Return on Ad Spend (ROAS): Ensure profitability and efficiency of paid media campaigns.
- Cost per acquisition (CPA): Optimize spending to acquire customers efficiently.
- Cost per Click (CPC): Optimize performance marketing campaigns to bring in quality traffic at the right CPC.
- SEO Performance: Improve search rankings, domain authority, and organic visibility.
- Influencer & Affiliate Impact: Track sales and engagement driven by influencers and affiliate partners.
- Marketplace Ad Performance: Measure revenue growth and ROAS from Lazada/Shopee ads.
Profile
To Be Successful In This Role
- Sportive personality.
- Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken) are essential. Other languages are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing, e-commerce traffic management, or digital advertising.
- Proven track record in managing and optimizing multi-channel traffic acquisition campaigns.
- Experience in the e-commerce or retail industry is highly preferred.
- Strong expertise in SEO, PPC, paid social, and marketplace advertising.
- Proficiency in Google Ads, Meta Ads (Facebook, Instagram), TikTok Ads, and programmatic advertising.
- Experience with Google Analytics and/or Amplitude, Google Tag Manager, and data visualization tools.
- Hands-on experience in managing Lazada and Shopee sponsored ads.
- Experience with app marketing & measurement tools (Adjust, Appsflyer, etc.) is highly preferred.
- Ability to develop and execute influencer and affiliate marketing campaigns.
- Strong conversion rate optimization (CRO) skills.
- Experience with budget management and forecasting for digital ad spend.
