E-Commerce, Digital Growth Head of Department
Responsibilities
- SEO & Organic Traffic Growth: Architect and lead an enterprise-level SEO strategy that drives organic traffic, brand visibility, and authority.
- Conduct ongoing technical audits, keyword research, and competitive backlink development.
- Partner with Product, UX, and Engineering to prioritize organic-first site optimizations and scalable architecture.
- Report on SEO success metrics (organic traffic, SERP rankings, conversions attributable to organic) to senior stakeholders.
- UX and Website Conversion Optimization (CRO): Oversee UX/CRO initiatives—from homepage and PDPs to checkout and campaign landing pages—using behavioral data, A/B testing, and UX insights.
- Execute hypothesis-driven experiments with analytics, heatmaps, and session replays to validate impact and iterate.
- Collaborate with creative and development to implement UX enhancements that reduce friction and boost conversion-rate metrics. (CRO best practices referenced in A/B testing frameworks and metric optimization)
- KOL / Influencer Marketing: Build and scale KOL/influencer strategies to expand reach and credibility, especially in high-consideration verticals or product launches.
- Oversee campaign end-to-end: partner selection, brief design, content alignment, tracking, and performance measurement.
- Integrate influencer touchpoints into broader SEO, content, and ad strategies for amplified impact.
- Content Strategy & Thought Leadership: Develop a cohesive content marketing approach—blogs, long-form content, product materials, social storytelling—that supports SEO, conversions, and influence.
- Work closely with content creators, designers, and product marketing to ensure messaging consistency and audience resonance.
- Monitor and optimize content KPIs (traffic, engagement, conversions from content) in partnership with the SEO function.
- Internal Communications & Retention Messaging: Own internal and customer retention messaging through channels like EDM, internal newsletters, surveys, and executive communications.
- Lead communication planning for organizational and culture campaigns, ensuring clarity, tone alignment, and read-through.
- Track effectiveness: open/read rates, engagement with key messages, sentiment indicators, pulse feedback.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in ecommerce, digital marketing or growth leadership. At least 2 years managing cross-functional teams across SEO, UX/CRO, content, and influencer/KOL campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in eCommerce, retail, or consumer tech industries.
- Familiar with conversion rate optimization (CRO) and landing page A/B testing.
- Experience with automation tools (Insider)
