Role Overview
- The E-commerce category manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of assigned product categories across all digital sales channels for Decathlon Malaysia and Singapore
- This includes creating and implementing online merchandising strategies to improve the customer journey, increase engagement and drive category visibility, sales & margin growth
- As E-commerce category manager, I will have the responsibility of managing from A to Z the business for your allocated sport categories across all digital sales channels, especially the website & mobile app, for Decathlon Malaysia & Singapore
Responsibilities
Digital Sales
- Achieve sales and margin targets for assigned categories through planned and data-driven commercial initiatives
- Analyze market trends and customer behavior to develop digital category strategies aligned with country-level commercial goals
- Conduct regular performance reviews and propose actionable insights for continuous improvement
Availability
- Lead seasonal product availability planning across all Decathlon digital platforms, ensuring timely launch in coordination with operations and supply teams
Segmentation
- Define and manage product segmentation for marketing, merchandising, and sales initiatives, based on seasonality and product attributes
Product Discovery & Shopping Experience –
- Collaborate with design and UX teams to manage and optimize layouts across homepage, category pages, landing pages, search result pages and product pages based on performance data.
- Continuously monitor and improve conversion rates and overall user experience.
Content
- Develop content strategies that offer complete and accessible sports solutions, enhancing product discoverability and customer onboarding.
- Optimize digital pages for SEO to improve visibility and traffic acquisition.
Main KPI
- Customer satisfaction with the digital shopping experience
- Conversion rate improvements
- Achievement of sales, growth, and margin targets for assigned categories
Profile
Requirements
- Strong communication skills in English(written and spoken) are essential. Other languages are a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in e-commerce or digital merchandising
- Experience working on brand.com is a plus
- Experience with platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, or Zalora is a plus
- Strong proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Excel
- Solid understanding of retail sales, consumer behavior, and category management
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to learn and continuously improvement
