Job summary

Imperial International School Ipoh is seeking a committed and enthusiastic teacher to join our Academic Team, delivering engaging ESL/EAL, humanities, and general perspective lessons in an international school setting. The successful candidate will plan, differentiate and assess student progress, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive, well-managed learning environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Education, English, TESL, TESOL, Humanities or related field.
Recognised teaching qualification is an advantage.
Teaching experience in an international school is an advantage.
Experience teaching English, ESL/EAL or Humanities is preferred.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Good classroom management and communication skills.
Passionate, responsible and committed to student development.
Able to teach across different subject areas.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons.
Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments.
Differentiate lessons according to students' abilities and learning needs.
Monitor and assess students' academic progress.
Encourage critical thinking, communication and independent learning.
Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom.
Work collaboratively with teachers and academic staff.
Participate in school activities, professional development and co-curricular programmes.
