Work you’ll do

CoRe Research & Insights (CoRe R&I) provides secondary research and analysis services to global Deloitte Member Firms in support of pursuit, business development, practice development and client engagements. The team uses exclusive sources, specialized research skills and industry expertise to develop insightful research reports delivering significant value to their customers across Deloitte’s global network.

  • Conduct comprehensive research using secondary research sources and techniques to deliver actionable insights to Deloitte’s senior leadership on key market and client priorities related to (but not limited to) growth strategies, competition, innovation, industry disruptions, and alliances.
  • Learn and apply established research tools, business frameworks, and analysis techniques to develop customized on-demand insights solutions.
  • Present crisp and actionable insights/recommendations using strong business writing, storyboarding and visualization skills, with an acute focus on 'so-what' for Deloitte's clients and businesses.
  • Develop and drive research plan, project timelines, and project wireframes along with the team lead. Manage work quality for self and others by reviewing outputs based on established brand and quality guidelines, providing feedback, and consolidating findings from the team.
  • Present findings to senior leadership confidently and drive consultative conversations with the stakeholders.
  • Manage results in projects following the best practices in project and time management, while adhering to quality guidelines always.
  • Take the relationship beyond transactional level - provide consultative research solutions to senior Deloitte practitioners and suggest alternatives, and create solutions to address current and anticipatory needs of clients and stakeholders.
  • Liaise with colleagues from Deloitte offices spread across the globe and stakeholders to understand, refine, and manage project expectations and priorities.
  • Participate in team level operational and brainstorming activities. Mentor and train new team members to become proficient.
The team

Global CoRe provides seven fundamental services to Deloitte around the world: knowledge services, creative services, contact center, data management assessment services, data protection, procurement, and real estate. We develop new and innovative ways to improve how these services are delivered across the organization, leveraging our global scope and strength to serve our organization within and across borders.

Requirements

Core Skills Required:

  • Scoping: Ability to comprehend customers’ insights requirements, conduct preliminary research to estimate effort/timeline, and present customized research solutions
  • Secondary Research Expertise: Possess extensive knowledge of secondary research databases, public/industry-specific sources, and research methodologies to efficiently source and validate relevant information.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth quantitative analysis of financial and operational ratios and apply analysis techniques to generate forward-looking insights.
  • Strategic Frameworks: Understand and apply various strategic and management consulting framework to develop meaningful and actionable insights.
  • Compelling Presentation: Process information into compelling visualizations with logical structure, leveraging Minto’s and other storyboarding approaches.
  • Industry Knowledge: Have expertise in at least one or two industries with deep understanding of its key performance indicators (KPIs), macro-economic factors, industry dynamics, and key trends that impact the industry.
  • Exceptional Communication: Communicate complex research ideas compellingly and succinctly through exceptional business writing and storyboarding, and articulate ideas confidently in client calls and reports for senior management and external publications.

Qualifications required:

  • Completed MBA from a recognized university with outstanding academic credentials.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience with at least 2 years post - MBA, preferably in business research in client service or internal setup.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Solid research skills and familiarity with various research databases (Refinitiv, Capital IQ, Factiva, etc.). Exposure to Gen AI tools and hands-on experience working on prompt engineering is an advantage.
